Autumn around Stavanger has been pretty good, and I have had the opertunity to spend some nice weekends in Suldal.
Suldal is one of these places on earth that never stop to amaze me.  A quite long valley starting by the fiord at the village of Strand, going eastwards to the end of lake Suldalsvatn.  Smaller sidevalleys and mountains surrounds this little gem of a place, and it seems like the light and clouds play hide and seek here.  There’s allways something new and interesting to see and photograph.
With my Nikon D700 this has been a real joy to explore.  The often dim light found here as a result of the many steep mountain sides and often cloudy weather, has been no challenge for the D700.  Just crank up the ISO a bit (who cares anymore…;-), and shoot.  And still, the way the autumn colors pop in the D700 images is just amazing.  I’ve put together a small slideshow of D700 images from this autumn, all from Suldal.  Hope you enjoy.
